COMMUNICATIONS & WRITING PORTFOLIO
About Me
.jpg)
Hi, I'm Vivian. I'm a communicator, freelance writer, and professional overthinker (but it helps with copy editing).
I currently work in internal communications, where I help turn complex project updates into clearer, useful content. Outside of my day job, I write freelance stories about homes, interiors, and design.
I've spent years in the messy middle of design — studying architecture, coordinating real estate development projects, and learning how much thought, stress, and care go into a finished space. These days, I put that overthinking to better use, writing stories about thoughtful spaces and the people, process, and details behind them.

When I’m not working on my next project, you can usually find me boxing, sipping coffee while watching squirrels outside my window, or reading and pretending I have my life together.
Experience

I write local home, design, and developer profile stories, spotlighting the people and ideas that shape residential projects. My work was also featured as the cover story for the spring 2026 issue of Westcoast Homes & Design magazine.
Provincial Health Services Authority
Communications Intern
August - September 2025

I supported the PHSA communications team with digital content planning to promote initiatives by Provincial Language Services (PLS), Health Emergency Management BC (HEMBC), and the Provincial Medical Imaging Office (PMIO). My contributions included writing articles for the staff intranet and developing social media graphics and videos.
CREW Network Convention 2024

January - October 2024

I volunteered on the marketing committee and served as lead graphic designer for the CREW Network Convention hosted in Vancouver.
